Louise’s Ps are being cast at Hargreaves Foundry in Halifax. This is the same foundry used by Anthony Gormley, most famous in The North East for his “Angel of The North” sculpture.
The Ps are being made by Louise at her studio in Devon. Every care needs to be taken in transporting them to County Durham. Here you can see one of Louise’s early models be loaded into a van to be taken for some site tests the locations they will live in County Durham.

The Ps will be travelling around County Durham from June 2017 and will be sited in some beautiful locations including The City of Durham, Hamsterley Forest and Nose Point, Seaham.
The sculptures started out as plaster models in Plant’s studio in Devon. From her drawings exploring ideas about individuality and difference, Plant created dozens of small models. 3 were chosen, refined and then enlarged to suit the scale of the planned installation sites.
